My name is Rose Guyod. I was born in the north of the Philippines, and dogs have been part of my life from a very young age
I first became professionally involved with dogs while living in Hong Kong, where I helped care for and rehabilitate a dog who had lost one of his back legs following an accident. Helping him regain his confidence made me realise how naturally I connected with dogs and inspired me to pursue dog training professionally
After moving to the UK, I completed professional dog training courses and developed extensive practical experience working with puppies and adult dogs
Today, as a professional dog trainer with Training Dog®, I help owners across Earl’s Court SW5, Kensington W8 and Holland Park W14, with a particular focus on socialisation, regular training and ongoing development

Every dog is an individual, with their own personality, confidence level, experiences and way of interacting with the world
I work with puppies, adolescent and adult dogs on everyday skills including socialisation, recall, off-lead reliability, lead walking, confidence, calm behaviour around other dogs and good manners in busy environments
My aim isn’t simply to teach a skill and then consider the training finished. Dogs benefit from continuing to practise what they have learned and using those skills as part of everyday life

PUPPY SOCIALISATION
Socialisation is one of the most important parts of a puppy’s early development
But good socialisation isn’t simply about meeting as many dogs as possible
A puppy needs to learn how to communicate appropriately, approach other dogs confidently, recognise when another dog wants space and understand when it is time to play, pause or simply move on
Carefully managed experiences with suitable dogs can help puppies develop confidence and the social skills they will need throughout their lives
I help owners introduce their puppies to the outside world progressively, building positive experiences around other dogs, people and the many distractions they will encounter living in London
SOCIALISATION WITH BALANCED DOGS
Dogs can learn a great deal from spending time around other dogs with good social skills
Where appropriate, I organise walks in Holland Park with small groups of carefully selected, well-balanced dogs
These aren’t simply group dog walks. They provide an opportunity for dogs to practise appropriate social behaviour in a natural environment while continuing to reinforce their training
Dogs can learn to walk together, explore, interact appropriately and, importantly, remain calm around each other without feeling that every encounter needs to become intense play
The objective is a dog who feels comfortable and confident around other dogs and knows how to communicate and behave appropriately in a social environment

ONGOING TRAINING & REGULAR WALKS
Training doesn’t need to stop once a dog has learned the basics
Many owners choose regular sessions so their dogs can continue practising recall, off-lead reliability, social skills and calm behaviour around everyday distractions
Regular training also allows us to identify small changes before they develop into established habits
For owners who have already completed their initial training, ongoing sessions and structured walks can provide a combination of exercise, mental stimulation, social experience and continued training
Think of it as maintaining your dog’s education rather than waiting until something goes wrong
BUILDING CONFIDENCE
My early experience rehabilitating a dog following a serious accident taught me the importance of patience and confidence
That remains an important part of the way I work today
Some dogs naturally approach new situations confidently, while others need more time and carefully managed experiences. Training should respect those differences rather than expecting every dog to progress in exactly the same way
Positive reinforcement, consistency and clear communication help dogs understand what we want from them while developing the confidence to make good choices themselves
ONE-TO-ONE DOG TRAINING
Alongside regular training and socialisation walks, I provide one-to-one training tailored to your dog’s individual needs
Sessions can cover puppy development, recall, lead walking, off-lead reliability, confidence, socialisation and everyday behavioural challenges

YOUR FIRST CONSULTATION
Every new client begins with a consultation
We will discuss your dog’s history, routine, environment, personality and any areas you would like to improve. I will also observe your dog and their interaction with you so that we can establish the most appropriate training plan
For puppies, we can also discuss their socialisation and development and establish how to introduce new experiences safely and progressively
