By joining the Training Dog® partner’s programme, you are deemed to have read, understood and accepted our terms and conditions.
Acceptance of our terms and conditions forms your contract with Training Dog® – Lorenzo Barichella

PARTNER PROGRAMME TERMS & CONDITIONS Last Updated: January 2026

  1. PROGRAMME OVERVIEW The DOG LICENCE™ Partner Programme (“Programme”) allows approved dog industry professionals (“Partners”) to earn commission by recommending DOG LICENCE™ to dog owners.

By participating in this Programme, you (“Partner”) agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

  1. ELIGIBILITY To participate in the Programme, you must:

  • Operate a dog-related business or professional service in the United Kingdom, including but not limited to:

    • Registered dog breeders

    • Dog groomers and grooming salons

    • Pet shops and pet supply retailers

    • Veterinary clinics and veterinary practices

    • Dog trainers and training facilities

    • Dog walkers and pet care professionals

    • Dog daycare and boarding facilities

    • Other dog-related professional services

  • Provide accurate contact and payment information

  • Comply with all applicable UK laws and regulations

  • Maintain professional standards in all business activities

  • Have regular contact with dog owners through your professional services

Training Dog® reserves the right to refuse any application or terminate any partnership at its sole discretion.

  1. HOW IT WORKS 3.1 Materials Provided

  • Partner receives personalised recommendation cards free of charge

  • Each card contains Partner’s unique referral code

  • Optional display stand available upon request

  • Materials remain property of Training Dog®

3.2 Partner’s Role

  • Partner distributes cards to dog owners during normal course of business (e.g., at time of puppy placement, grooming appointments, veterinary visits, retail purchases, training sessions, etc.)

  • Cards are provided as a professional resource recommendation

  • Partner does not sell, process payments, or handle any transactions related to DOG LICENCE™

3.3 Customer Purchase Process

  • Dog owners purchase DOG LICENCE™ independently using Partner’s unique code

  • All transactions, customer support, and product delivery handled by Training Dog®

  • Partner is not involved in the sales or fulfilment process

  1. COMMISSION PAYMENTS 4.1 Commission Rate

  • Partner earns £40 per DOG LICENCE™ licence activated using Partner’s unique referral code

  • Commission applies only to completed, non-refunded purchases

  • Commission does not apply to trial access or promotional licences

4.2 Payment Schedule

  • Commissions paid monthly by the 20th of each month

  • Payments cover all qualifying sales from the previous calendar month

  • Minimum payout threshold: £40 (one qualifying sale)

  • If threshold not met, commission rolls over to following month

4.3 Payment Methods

  • Bank transfer (UK accounts only)

  • PayPal

  • Partner responsible for maintaining accurate payment details

  • Partner must notify Training Dog® of any payment detail changes within 7 days

4.4 Payment Processing

  • Payments processed within 5 working days of payment date

  • Partner receives email confirmation when payment is sent

  • Any payment queries must be raised within 30 days of payment date

4.5 TAX RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner is solely responsible for declaring commission income to HMRC

  • If annual commission income exceeds £1,000, Partner must register for Self Assessment with HMRC and declare this income

  • Partner may need to register as self-employed depending on total earnings from all sources

  • Training Dog® does not withhold tax or National Insurance from commission payments

  • Partner is responsible for paying any Income Tax and National Insurance due on commission earnings

  • Partner should consult a qualified accountant if unsure of tax obligations

  • Training Dog® will provide annual commission statements upon request to assist with tax reporting

4.6 VAT CONSIDERATIONS

  • Commission payments quoted are exclusive of VAT

  • If Partner is VAT-registered, Partner must provide a valid VAT invoice to Training Dog® with VAT added at the current UK rate (20%) included in the £40 commission received

  • Partner is responsible for accounting for VAT to HMRC if registered

  • If Partner is not VAT-registered, no VAT invoice is required

  • Training Dog® is not responsible for Partner’s VAT compliance

4.7 Commission Tracking

  • All sales tracked automatically via unique referral codes

  • Partner may request commission report at any time

  • Discrepancies must be reported within 30 days of the relevant payment period

  1. PARTNER RESPONSIBILITIES 5.1 Distribution of Materials

  • Partner agrees to make recommendation cards available to dog owners through their professional services (e.g., in puppy packs, at reception desks, in retail bags, during appointments, etc.)

  • Partner will not alter, modify, or reproduce cards without written permission

  • Partner will not make false or misleading claims about DOG LICENCE™

  • Partner will represent DOG LICENCE™ accurately and professionally

5.2 Professional Conduct

  • Partner will maintain high standards of professional practice and ethics in their industry

  • Partner will comply with all UK laws relating to their business sector and animal welfare

  • Partner will not engage in any conduct that could damage Training Dog®’s reputation

  • Partner will not use aggressive, deceptive, or manipulative sales tactics

5.3 Compliance

  • Partner will comply with UK advertising standards and consumer protection laws

  • Partner will not spam or send unsolicited communications promoting DOG LICENCE™

  • Partner will respect customer privacy and data protection regulations

  • Partner will not make medical, behavioural, or training claims beyond scope of DOG LICENCE™ content

5.4 Prohibited Activities

  • Using DOG LICENCE™ branding for purposes other than those authorised

  • Creating competing products or services using DOG LICENCE™ content

  • Purchasing licences using own referral code to earn commission

  • Encouraging others to purchase solely to generate commission

  • Sharing or selling referral codes to non-dog owners or for purposes unrelated to partner’s professional services

  1. TRAINING DOG® RESPONSIBILITIES 6.1 Programme Support

  • Provide free recommendation cards and materials to Partners

  • Process all customer purchases, payments, and support enquiries

  • Track sales via unique referral codes accurately

  • Make timely commission payments as specified

  • Restock cards upon request (reasonable quantities)

6.2 Product Delivery

  • Deliver DOG LICENCE™ access to customers who purchase

  • Provide customer support for product-related queries

  • Maintain product quality and content standards

  • Handle all refunds and customer complaints

6.3 Communication

  • Notify Partners of material changes to Programme terms with 30 days’ notice

  • Provide monthly commission statements

  • Respond to Partner queries within 5 working days

  1. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY 7.1 Ownership

  • All DOG LICENCE™ content, branding, trademarks, and materials remain the exclusive property of Training Dog®

  • Partner receives no ownership rights in any Training Dog® intellectual property

  • Partner may not reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any Training Dog® materials beyond the scope expressly authorised

7.2 Limited Licence

  • Partner granted limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use provided materials solely for recommending DOG LICENCE™ to dog owners through their professional services

  • Licence terminates immediately upon termination of partnership

  • Partner must cease all use of Training Dog® materials upon termination

  1. TERMINATION 8.1 Termination by Either Party

  • Either party may terminate participation at any time, for any reason, without penalty

  • Termination must be notified in writing (email acceptable) to the other party

  • Termination effective immediately upon receipt of notice

8.2 Partner Obligations Upon Termination

  • Partner must cease distributing recommendation cards immediately

  • Partner must destroy or return all remaining Training Dog® materials

  • Partner must remove any Training Dog® branding from websites, social media, or other materials

8.3 Outstanding Payments Upon Termination

  • All earned commissions up to termination date will be paid within 30 days of termination

  • Minimum payout threshold waived for final payment

  • Partner must provide valid payment details to receive final settlement

  • Commissions from sales after termination date will not be paid

8.4 Termination by Training Dog® for Cause Training Dog® may terminate partnership immediately if Partner:

  • Breaches these Terms & Conditions

  • Engages in fraudulent activity or misrepresentation

  • Damages Training Dog®’s reputation or business

  • Fails to comply with applicable laws or regulations

  • Engages in prohibited activities as defined in section 5.4

In case of termination for cause, Training Dog® reserves the right to withhold payment of outstanding commissions pending investigation.

  1. DATA PROTECTION 9.1 Compliance

  • Both parties will comply with all applicable UK data protection laws, including UK GDPR

  • Training Dog® processes Partner data in accordance with its Privacy Policy

  • Partner data used solely for programme administration, commission payments, and programme communications

9.2 Partner Data Collected Training Dog® collects and processes:

  • Contact details (name, address, email, phone)

  • Payment details (bank account or PayPal email)

  • Business information (business name, industry sector, business type)

  • Commission and sales data

9.3 Legal Basis for Processing Training Dog® processes Partner data under:

  • Contract Performance: To fulfil obligations under the Partner Programme agreement (Art. 6(1)(b) UK GDPR)

  • Legitimate Interest: To calculate commissions, prevent fraud, and maintain business records (Art. 6(1)(f) UK GDPR)

  • Legal Obligation: To comply with financial record-keeping and tax reporting requirements (Art. 6(1)(c) UK GDPR)

9.4 Data Security

  • Partner data stored securely using industry-standard encryption

  • Access restricted to authorised personnel only

  • Payment details processed via secure, PCI-compliant payment providers

9.5 Data Retention

  • Payment and commission records: 7 years (HMRC requirement)

  • Contact details: Duration of partnership + 1 year

  • Marketing preferences: Until consent withdrawn

  • Partner may request earlier deletion subject to legal retention obligations

9.6 Partner Rights Partners have the right to:

  • Access their personal data held by Training Dog®

  • Request correction of inaccurate data

  • Request deletion of data (subject to legal retention requirements)

  • Withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time

  • Lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO)

9.7 Customer Data

  • Partner agrees not to collect or process personal data of dog owners on behalf of Training Dog®

  • Partner’s role is limited to distributing recommendation cards

  • All customer data processing is done directly by Training Dog® when dog owners purchase independently

  • No Data Processing Agreement required as Partner does not act as data processor

9.8 Data Breaches

  • Partner must immediately notify Training Dog® of any actual or suspected data breach involving Partner data

  • Training Dog® will notify Partner of any data breach affecting Partner’s personal data in accordance with UK GDPR requirements

  1. LIABILITY AND INDEMNIFICATION 10.1 Training Dog® Liability

  • Training Dog® is not liable for Partner’s interactions with dog owners

  • Training Dog® is not liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental damages

  • Training Dog®’s total liability to Partner limited to total commissions paid in the 12 months preceding any claim

  • Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or other liabilities that cannot be excluded by law

10.2 Partner Liability

  • Partner is not liable for DOG LICENCE™ product quality, content, or delivery

  • Partner is not liable for customer complaints, refunds, or product-related issues

  • Partner is liable for own tax compliance and financial reporting

10.3 Indemnification Partner agrees to indemnify and hold Training Dog® harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

  • Partner’s breach of these Terms & Conditions

  • Partner’s violation of any laws or regulations

  • Partner’s misrepresentation of DOG LICENCE™

  • Partner’s fraudulent or unethical conduct

  1. GENERAL PROVISIONS 11.1 Modifications

  • Training Dog® may modify these Terms & Conditions at any time

  • Partners will be notified of material changes via email at least 30 days in advance

  • Continued participation after notice period constitutes acceptance of modified terms

  • If Partner does not accept modified terms, Partner may terminate immediately

11.2 Entire Agreement

  • These Terms & Conditions constitute the entire agreement between Partner and Training Dog®

  • No verbal agreements or representations are binding

  • Any amendments must be in writing and signed by both parties

11.3 Assignment

  • Partner may not assign or transfer rights or obligations under these terms without written consent

  • Training Dog® may assign these terms to any successor or affiliate

11.4 Severability

  • If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, remaining provisions remain in full effect

  • Invalid provisions will be replaced with valid provisions that achieve similar economic effect

11.5 Waiver

  • Failure to enforce any provision does not constitute waiver of that provision

  • Waiver of any breach does not constitute waiver of subsequent breaches

11.6 Independent Contractors

  • Partner and Training Dog® are independent contractors

  • Nothing in these terms creates an employment, agency, partnership, or joint venture relationship

  • Partner has no authority to bind Training Dog® or make commitments on its behalf

11.7 Force Majeure

  • Neither party liable for failure to perform obligations due to circumstances beyond reasonable control

  • Force majeure includes natural disasters, war, terrorism, pandemics, government actions, strikes, or internet/telecommunications failures

  1. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION 12.1 Governing Law These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

12.2 Jurisdiction Any disputes arising from these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

12.3 Dispute Resolution Before initiating legal proceedings, parties agree to attempt good faith negotiation to resolve disputes.
